Persuasion

     Persuasion is when people tries to convince some people to do something. Companies like to persuade too, they want people to buy their products. Theirs many ways companies can persuade people for example advertisements. In class we played a game about different ways commercials can persuade people: humour, macho, friends, family, fun, nature, sexy, cartoon, celebrity and wealth. Our teacher  gave us an envelope, it contains topics about "Persuasion" we need to find commercials that can fit the topic that we picked and we're going to show our partners the commercial and our partners will try to guess what topic it is.

Techniques:

Humor: commercials that can make people laugh.
Macho: showing muscles, usually guys.
Friends: Group of people doing things together for example: playing board games.
Family: showing a family having fun.
Nature: outdoor, commercials that shows a lot of trees, grass and many more.
Sexy: showing bodies, usually girls.
Cartoon: animation of people or anything.
Celebrity: Famous people.
Wealth: expensive jewelries, big houses, fancy places.

Concordia Hospital

        The topic that I chose is Concordia Hospital because many people have been helped by volunteers and other workers there. My sister volunteers at the hospital and she does fun activities with the patients. She really enjoys volunteering. "We believe that we have a mutual obligation to care for each other." (Henry Tessman) Concordia Hospital has been helping people in many ways and I can explain some.

        Concordia Hospital provides health services like home care programs, an emergency department, laboratory services and spiritual care. It originally started as a four bed maternity hospital, in 1928 and now it has expanded to a much bigger organization. This includes Concordia Place,Concordia Hip and Knee Institution, Concordia Foundation and Concordia Village for all the patients. The pharmacy is open 7 days a week, which is convinient to anyone who needs help. It provides multiple types of medicines for diseases like heart disease, renal disease and respiratory disease. All the workers at Concordia Hospital cares about all the patients, they do all their best to help people.

         "The redeveloped Concordia emergency department means improved care for patients and their families, and leading-edge medical tools and facilities for our front-line health professionals".(Doer) I think its a good idea that they renovated the emergency department because theirs more space for the patients and workers and they can help more

         I think Concordia Hospital is a really good hospital because they care about everyone in the hospital. They renovated the hospital so more people can go and and they provide medicine and place to live for the patients, i think that shows how much they care.
